Quantum computers use superconductors, formed of materials that include several metals, ceramics and alloys
which operate at very low temperatures. The challenge is then to find a way for quantum computers to operate at normal room temperatures and therefore not require special refrigerated conditions (as the IBM quantum computer requires).
