Despite the pandemic lockdowns, followed by restaurant and cafes closure, the UK craft brewers increased in number, by +7.5% in 2020, reaching a total of over 3,000. This according to the findings of accounting firm UHY Hacker Young. Interestingly, the research found 55 new breweries were opened during the first lockdown (March 16th to June 1st 2020).
