Two companies united forces to brew a beer using tortilla chips, just in time for the Super Bowl. Taco Works, a California based chips company, and Tio Rodrigo Craft Beer Micheladas teamed up to transform highly fermentable corn tortilla chips into a refreshing lager beer. To avoid adverse effects in the brewing process from the oil-fried chips, the brewers is using freshly bakes chips. The limited-edition Tortilla Chips Lager will be available in California select retailers and on-line.
