Southeast Asian countries tightening alcohol consumption regulations

Southeast Asian countries are tightening regulations on alcohol consumption to combat underage drinking and drunk driving via doubling of maximum fines for drunk driving in Vietnam (since January 2020), and the banning of on-line alcohol sales for alcohol beverages in Thailand (December 2020). These changes are placing pressure on multinational beverage companies to promote responsible alcohol consumption.
