The Beer Association of South Africa, consisting of the Craft Brewers Association (BASA), Heineken South Africa and South African Breweries (SAB), has implored the government to steer clear of another alcohol ban in the country. Despite these efforts, President Ramaphosa announced another alcohol ban (#4 ban) as the country enters a COVID Level 4 Alert for the first time in more than a year.
