A pilot programme born from a new cooperation between Reusable Solutions, Eco-Friendly Beer, and Casella Waste Systems aims to implement a more sustainable system in extending the life of rigid packaging beyond single use in the craft beer industry. Referred to as the Vermont Plastic Can Carrier Reuse & Recycle Initiative, the programme has already saved 10k plastic can carriers over the first two months of operation. Most of the collected packaging material has already been cleaned and reused by a variety of breweries.
