Oregon State University and the US Department of Agriculture

New research performed by Oregon State University and the US Department of Agriculture expanded significantly the understanding of the hop genome, creating a potential to provide brewers with additional hop varieties. According to the author of the study, “if you are asking the beer drinkers, they will be excited about the brewing side; if you are talking to the medical field, they are going to be excited about the pharmaceutical potential”. The findings of the study are published in the journal, The Plant Genome.
