New legislation will give craft brewers limited self-distribution rights

A new legislation allows Nebraska’s craft breweries to self-distribute a limited amount of beer to retail locations throughout the state. The beer can be distributed only if it produced by the craft brewer itself and is delivered by a vehicle owned by the brewery and by the employee. The legislation is meant to give the greater opportunity to small breweries to access markets and ultimately prove themselves in a market without the need for hiring a distributor to perform that consumer connection.
