Irish craft brewers are preparing new hop-forward beers to quench the thirst of beer
lovers during the warmer summer days. A look at some such beers: (1) Metalman
Brewery: Giant Molecular Clouds (a fruity New England IPA), Cosmic Horseshoe (a
double-hopped IPA with five varieties of hops) and Gravitational Wave (a West Coast
IPA); (2) Whiplash Brewery’s Blue Ghosts (a German syle pilsner); (3) Lineman
Brewery: Electric Avenue Series (an intensively hoppy beer using Simcoe, Citra and
Mandarina Bavaria); (4) Ballykilcavan Brewery lager; (5) Wide Street’s Time Lapse (a
witbier with wheat, pale malt oats and coriander seeds).
