A scholarship program from The Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company (part of Molson
Coors Beverage Company) and UW-Madison aims to help boost diversity in the brewing
world. The scholarship intends to support students from underrepresented groups
(e.g., Latino, Black/African American, American Indian, Asian) who are studying
brewing or fermentation sciences in Madison. The awards are named, The Jake
Leinenkugel Diversity in Brewing Award with the initial endowment coming from a
$50,000 donation by Molson Coors, via its social justice initiative.
