A barley-pea mix is helping a farm in Cotsworld (England) achieve improved soil
health and reduce carbon emissions. The farm is using spring barley Irina and a
marrowfat pea, as these leafy peas can use the barley plants as a climbing
frame. The farmer started to grow the mix 12 years ago and continues to develop
the concept.
