Muntons Plc, Yorkshire farmers, Future Food Solutions and Heineken UK are partnering to grow barley in a more sustainable way and in the process reduce CO2 emissions

The project guides farmers in integrating a range of innovative ideas into their farming processes to reduce carbon emissions while also improving soil health; all efforts are aimed at making malting barley production more sustainable. The project is starting with 7,000 acres of winter and spring barley varieties, which could result in 25k tons of grain, enough to brew nearly 300 million pints of beer!
