Carlsberg Azerbaijan signed a memorandum of understanding with the country’s Economy Ministry stipulating the company will work toward further localization of their raw material base, modernization of the enterprise, reduction of product losses and improvement in workplace safety measures. Under the memorandum, $14.7M will be invested in promoting beer exports and in projects which increase the competitiveness of “Made in Azerbaijan” products, including beer.
