Kirin Holdings is to pull out of its Myanmar JV with Myanmar Economic Holdings Public Company Limited which is believed to have links to the local military. Kirin entered Myanmar six years ago, similar to many companies eyeing the growth potential in the country (beer grew 19% in 2019). Pressure to exit increased as the military took power and civilian leadership was being held by the military.
