According to a 2019 report, Kentucky has the second highest rate of craft brewers’ growth in the US. The 88 craft brewers across Kentucky have been devastated by the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions which has resulted in 3 breweries closing and dozens of other brewers struggling. Besides the lost trade in restaurants and bars, there is an on-going delay in the implementation of a law passed in March’20 to allow craft brewers to make limited direct sales to consumers. The law, a lifeline during the pandemic, is still not implemented.
