Field’s & Ivy Brewery brew the first commercially bottled beer since 1890 with malting barley grown exclusively
in Kansas after owners Cory and Veronica Johnston began the journey 2016. The brewers’ grain company business, Great Plains Custom Grain, collaborated with grain company partner, Gary van Horn and within five crops they achieved malting barley quality.
