Air France believes so, as the company is developing sustainable aviation fuel as a mix of petroleum and synthetic jet fuel derived from used cooking oil, made by Total. The experimental fuel is being utilized on long-haul flights from Paris to Montreal. Air France KLM plans to make 5% of its fuel sustainable by 2030.
