Adjunct beers are not new to the America market; however, a sticky rice-based beer is a new entrant. The beer, Thum Phuk Sticky Rice Lager, is produced by Burlington’s Low Daily Brewing company and also includes a special hop not usually used by Milwaukee area brewers. The hops are well known Saaz along with Sorachi Ace hops – a variety created in Japan and known for its herbal and lemony flavours (lemon peel and sharper lemongrass). Other ingredients are pilsner malt, flake rice and sticky rice.
