Historic Scottish pub gets a makeover

The historic Hamilton (near Glasgow) pub, originating back to 1859, is getting £150,000 makeover as The Stonehouse is going through a refurbishment investment undertaken by its owner Star Pubs & Bars (Heineken owned). The renovation began July 5th and will finish by mid-August with a complete restoration of the outside of The Stonehouse, including fresh paint, new signage and lighting plus outdoor seating for up to 30 people. Inside, new wood floors and paneling, leather upholstery, quirky lighting and decorations along with the installation of state-of-the-art television features, as well as a snug area.
