Heineken is searching for robotic solutions in its breweries to create safer workplaces for employees and enabling a more flexible organization overall. As part of SMITZH Programme (Smart Manufacturing Industrial Application in South Holland), the company and RoboHouse fieldlab, with support from the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), have developed a solution on the basis of flexible manufacturing and automated handling of unexpected situations (e.g., retrieving fallen bottles from a conveyor belt).
