Heineken announced their taking control of United Breweries Limited (UBL), with an ownership share increase to 61.5% (from 46.5%) and includes changes to allow the nomination of a new chairman. The share was originally 37.5% in 2008 at the time of the Scottish & Newcastle brewery.
