The operation has a local supply chain aimed at malting barley production, and which has been in development for the last four years. The program involves the agricultural, technical and commercial departments within the business and focuses on development in the regions to the South and West of Addis Ababa. The new maltings is part of an ambitious plan of Malteries Soufflet’s overall strategy to develop operations outside Europe, a plan which already includes Brazil, Argentina and India in addition to this investment in Ethiopia.
