First American Single Malt Whiskey

Dampfwerk Distillery, Minnesota (USA) has launched the first American single malt whiskey, made from 100% Minnesota sourced pale ale and chocolate malt. The whiskey is first barreled in American white oak barrels and finished on a selection of red wine barrels. Official taste notes from the distillery show that the single malt contains flavours of deep fruit, chocolate, toffee and caramel notes.
