Diageo is planning to spend $80M

Diageo is planning to spend $80M in order to boost ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages in the US. The investment represents the installation of two can-filling lines at a new plant in Plainfield, Illinois, to boost production of the fast-growing RTD beverage market. The plant will produce more than 25M cases of ready-to-drink beverages every year, such as Smirnoff seltzers, along with spirit-based cocktails from Crown Royal and Ketel One Botanicals.
