Craft brewers are looking for ways to manage their plastic footprint generated by the toppers holding four-can packs. Despite these toppers being 100% recyclable, a process to collect them and move to recycling was still needed. In Massachusetts, a brewer is working on a solution in conjunction with GreenLabs Recycling. For a fee, the GreenLabs collects the plastic toppers and delivers them to a special processor, where the plastic is recycled into other products like Laundry-detergent jugs, Adirondack chairs and other items.
