April 26, 2021
The US Brewers Association created two maps: one to show the total volume (barrels) produced in each state, and a second to show the ratio of barrels per adult resident (persons over 21 years old). According to the first map states like Texas, California, Florida, Pennsylvania, New York, and Ohio produced more than 1M barrels. According to the second map Vermont, Pennsylvania, Maine, Alaska, Oregon, Colorado, and Montana lead in the per capita production (legal drinking age). The findings show nationwide coverage for craft beer success, from which the recovery could be quite substantial.
New technology featured by Proof Brewing Florida.
April 23, 2021
Proof Brewing Florida has partnered with Earthly Lab (Austin Texas) to become the first brewery in Florida to implement carbon capture technology to reduce carbon dioxide emissions (CO2e). The plug-and-play technology from Earthly Lab enables craft breweries to capture more than 100,000 pounds of waste CO2e, the equivalent of more than 1,500 trees’ worth CO2e. The push to reduce carbon dioxide emissions is coming from across the brewing industry, including craft brewers which supports the view that everyone can contribute to a more sustainable brewing industry.
