Airports are investigating their ability to offer their passengers an experience with reduced background noise for an improved travelling experience. One-way airports are trying to achieve this is by banning all announcements (except for emergency ones) in the main terminal area. With reduced noise pollution, passengers are only required to focus upon important messages. Nevertheless, passengers need to be vigilant regarding their flight times and ensure they are not left behind by missing the flight. Two such airports are Dubai and Bristol (UK).
