Saudi Arabia will import 30% less barley in the first six months of 2021–2022 due compared to the same period one year ago, due specifically to a lack of vessel availability. The equipment shortage is related to vessels being lined up to load commodities for shipment to China or already in China, but stuck awaiting unloading.
