OFS, an Australian software company which supports manufacturing effectiveness, recently released new data that shows how Australian craft brewers are faring in efficiency across their packaging lines. According to the data – brewers fare well on speed and waste management (98.6% and 99.7%) but are only filling cans and bottles 54% of the time (a low use of equipment capacity). In addition, for every 1000 beers made, over 3 minutes is lost to unplanned downtime and on average brewers are unable to run their production line for more than 12min without stopping.
