Asahi has turned strategic focus to non-alcoholic beer brands

After a string of acquisitions to reshape their global footprint (Peroni, Pilsner Urquell, Carlton Draught), Asahi has now turned strategic focus to non-alcoholic beer brands. The strategy is supported by pressure in Japan where beer volumes have fallen for more than two decades, and the government has tightened its crackdown on heavy alcohol consumption.
