Asahi Group Holdings announced that it obtained approvals from the Australian Consumer and Competition Commission, and the Foreign Investment Review Board to finalise the sale of certain selected brands, Asahi acquired from AB InBev in July 2019, to Heineken NV. The concerned brands include major beer brands Stella Artois and Beck’s; along with Strongbow, Little Green, and Bonamy ciders. The deal with Heineken NV will close on January 5th, 2021.
