ABInBev is investing $100M in their St Louis facility in order to integrate subsidiary, EverGrain Ingredients which is repurposing spent brewers’ grain. The expansion will add 50 full-time employees to the site. The repurposed brewing byproduct offers significant nutritional value in food and other beverages. For example, EverGrain’s barley protein is currently available with innovative products like ‘Take Two’ plant-based barley milk and Nestle is considering the protein for the nutritional food supplement ‘Garden of Life’ brand, later in 2021.
