AB InBev is using blockchain technology to trace beers from farmer through to the final consumer as the technology facilitates the integration of production stages along the supply chain onto the blockchain which opens the door to information gathering from the life cycle of beverages. The company also uses such data to work more closely with farmers on sustainability efforts with an aim to improve crop yield practices and increase productivity.
