AB InBev is considering a sale of their less profitable German businesses as a means to reduce the Company’s total debt.

Included in the rumoured sale, would be such brands Franziskaner Weissbier, Hasseroeder and Spaten which could raise around €1B (USD1.2B). Expectations are that beyond debt reduction, moves like this help the Company shift its strategy to beyond beer (e.g., seltzers and RTDs).
